Watching Jennifer Grey dance on “Dancing with the Stars” tonight was like being connected with only the beautiful moments of my childhood juxtaposed against the reality of the passing years. The ethereal rhythm and movement evoked emotion from deep inside of my soul. While the memory of her longtime dance partner spilled down her cheeks and vibrated through me, I recalled with similar anguish, those I’ve lost since the first time I watched her sashay across the screen. The mixture of beautifully vivid childhood memories, lost loved ones and admiration overwhelmed my eyes. She’s got moxie and I could feel her moxie transfer into the performance. It’s been years since I’ve sought refuge in the epic story of Baby, and tonight I was reminded, “Nobody puts Baby in the corner.”
